SCOTLAND’S lagest independent airline yesterday broke the 1.5million barrier.
That’s the number of passengers who have flown with Flyglobespan from Edinburgh since the company were founded in 2002
Flyglobespan chairman Tom Dalrymple said: “I am delighted to have reached this milestone.
“As an Edinburgh man myself, it was always my desire to offer locals a wide choice of destinations direct from Edinburgh airport and I am delighted that, with the continued support of our customers, this dream has been made a reality.”.
Rick Green, Flyglobespan chief executive added demand for summer and winter flying programmes is up on last year.
Just weeks ago, the firm launched their 18th route – from Edinburgh to Dubrovnik in Croatia.
